What is Early Intervention?

An early intervention program identifies and treats a developmental problem by providing services to prevent or minimize the impact of risk factors on a child's disablity and well-being.

  2. Helps prevent the development of some other disabilities.
  3. Reduces family stress.
  4. Prepares to integrate the child in regular schools if possible.
  5. Helps develop strength points in some children which save substantial costs to society.
